Walkthrough

  • Here we show you how to Delete Spam Comments
  • When you've logged into the dashboard, it can say under Discussions a number beside Spam
  • This will be in red and in our case it says 5 Spam
  • This information is from Akismet, a plugin we installed in another video, which is an effective Spam filter
  • Click the Red word Spam, which will bring you to the Comments Page
  • Have a look through the suspicious comments, and if you judge them to be Spam, which is likely
  • Click the box in the small header beside Author, to select all the Comments below
  • Above that button where is says Bulk Actions, click the drop down list box and select Delete Permanently
  • Click the Apply button beside the drop down list box
  • Alternatively you could hit the Empty Spam button, which has the same effect
  • That's how you delete spam with Akismet plugin
